New security innovations tackled on first day of “AWS re:Inforce 2023”
Amazon Web Services (AWS) kicked off the first day of re:Inforce 2023 with a keynote presentation from CJ Moses, chief information security officer (CISO) at AWS, as he shared exciting innovations and advice on how companies can accelerate their security practices.
Joining Moses onstage was Becky Weiss, Senior Principal Engineer at AWS, who announced the launch of 14 new security offerings across cloud security, management tools, encryption, and identity as well as partnership programs.
Among those announced was a preview release of Amazon CodeGuru Security, a static application security testing tool that uses Machine Learning to help customers identify code vulnerabilities and provide guidance as part of remediation. It also offers in-context code patches for certain classes of vulnerabilities to reduce effort required to fix code vulnerabilities.
